The aim of this set of lessons is to enable pupils to understand the reasons for the development of unconventional machining methods and to be able to explain their classification, advantages and disadvantages. This is a very difficult but very important subject, as the pupils will need this information in their everyday working lives. It is something that has to be learned, the amount of information cannot be reduced. The answer lies in setting achievable, step-by-step goals and giving pupils sufficient feedback.
It gives tips on how to create a well-functioning e-learning tutorial. It also describes the methods of assessment and engagement with the subject and the importance of immediate feedback – a combination of mock tests, graded tests, visual distance explanations and teaching texts to ensure at least some effectiveness of distance learning.
