The aim of this lesson is to develop a computer programme that can be used to remotely program a device. The student would create his/her programme on the computer and load the different versions of his/her programme onto the controller of the workbench. This model has a number of devices that react to the programming. For example a traffic light with three LEDs simulates its operation; a motor that moves a conveyor belt forward and backwards; or a light sensor and depending on whether a light bulb is on or off, a motor is activated.
